9 Chickweed Lane is a wonderful comic about 3 generations of strong women, their interactions with each other, their coworkers, the men in their lives and Solange the cat. The artwork is incredibly graceful and oft times panel busting. The artist has a deft way of catching and implying motion in the still medium of the newsprint. Another nifty recurring theme are the "Hallmarks of Felinity" which feature Solange the cat. This comic is an excellent example of a comic that can be funny and artistic in both theme and execution.
I think that I shall never see
a poem as lovely as a tree
Or Buicks on a raft at sea,
or zombies come at three for tea
Or moose propose on bended knee
or elephant-sized bumblebee
At least I hope not!

I feel strongly that the visual arts are of vast importance. Of course, I could be prejudiced. I am a visual art.
